"It’s Your Wedding…We Help Make It Happen"

Planning for a wedding challenges the skills and patience of even the most organized among us. It’s hard to know where to start, the best ways to get organized, and stay on track throughout the wedding planning process.

It’s understandable. For many brides, your wedding is the very first time you will be entertaining on such a large scale. The most important thing to keep in mind about your wedding is that it’s meant to be a happy occasion. You have to be totally honest and open with your fiancée and your families, and arrive at some sort of compromise so that everyone is pleased with what the day brings. A major part of marriage is learning how to compromise…and step one is

Location, Location, Location.

The Chicago Fine Arts Exchange, unique in concept and design, is both an art gallery exhibiting over 100 pieces of outstanding artwork, as well as Chicago’s most beautiful and unusual wedding ceremony and reception venue.

Our highly acclaimed "Skylight Room"

…selected as "Chicago’s most beautiful party space" features our 60 ft. long by 20 ft. high vaulted cathedral skylight.

By day, the Exchange is a sun filled room of beauty, color, and elegance.

By night, dine and dance under the stars, and create the atmosphere of your choice in a most eclectic setting.

Designed to accommodate both ceremonies as well as magnificent dinner receptions, our Skylight Room and Jazz Reception Gallery are perfect for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, corporate seminars, pre-nuptial dinners, and cigar and martini bars.

Where To Begin

When you begin the process of visiting locations, you should carefully consider your personalities, life styles, and interests shared by both of you.

Ideally, whatever venue you choose should reflect all of the above, have adequate space to comfortably accommodate your guests, work within your budget…and most of all place no restrictions on your wishes and dreams. Be prepared to ask specific questions at the venues you call and visit, and make sure you are comfortable with the venue’s responses to your questions. Finally, make sure that your room of choice is prepared to put everything in writing that you are told and promised. All costs should be defined, and never sign a contract that allows a venue to increase prices at a later date.

Your wedding is very special to us as well. During your initial site visit, you’ll be asked thought provoking questions to help us help you begin planning your perfect wedding. We will provide you with a list of suggested caterers, florists, entertainment packages, and many ideas and suggestions based on a budget you are comfortable with, and we will make every attempt to show you ways to work within your budget.

The Chicago Fine Arts Exchange is Chicago’s most "user friendly" event facility. The Exchange provides free-of-charge many amenities not permitted, or extremely costly at many other quality venues.

Consider The Following:

  • Bring in your own alcohol...no corkage fees.
  • Unlimited hours…the party ends when you say it’s over.
